TLT takes top spot in South West deals adviser rankings
The report lists the top deal advisers for the first half of 2019, based on the number of deals completed. TLT ranked top in the South West based on a total of 13 deals, holding onto the top spot from Q1.
Notable projects included advising Open Bionics, the pioneer of low-cost prosthetics using 3D printing, on a £4.65m Series A investment. The team also advised the shareholders of Acquis Insurance Management on a management buyout backed by Dunedin private equity, including leverage finance from HSBC, as well as advising on the end-to-end transaction of the acquisition of the UK's largest surface repair specialists, Plastic Surgeon, by global expert Polygon Group.
Andrew Webber, partner at TLT, says: "We are delighted to be ranked as the top legal deal adviser in the South West, in recognition of the strength of our team and extensive M&A expertise. Despite political uncertainty, we are seeing continued appetite from investors to fund and collaborate with the UK’s most interesting high-growth companies, many of which are located in the South West."
TLT's corporate team is based across its UK-wide offices including in Belfast, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Manchester.
The team is actively involved in the UK's start-up, investment and fast growth scenes, advising businesses and investors on some of the UK's most significant transactions and supporting the growth ambitions of leading businesses in their field.
Recent appointments to TLT's corporate team have added to the firm's existing strength, including the addition of Patrick Somers as partner in London, partners Richard Life and Mark Traynor in Manchester, and legal director Kirsty Smith in Glasgow.
