She advises on a broad range of issues, including contractual disputes, breach of restrictive covenant disputes, corporate warranty claims, fraud, shareholder, director and partnership disputes, professional negligence claims, ‘passing off’ disputes, agency disputes and seeking injunctive relief.
Rebekah also has specific expertise from a reputation management and media law perspective, including defamation, privacy, the misuse of private information and harassment, acting on behalf of high profile and/or high net worth individuals.
She has successfully settled various claims, securing appropriate redress for clients, including damages and in some cases a public apology. She represented former premier league and England international footballer Kieron Dyer, reaching an out of court settlement with MGN Limited, which included the newspaper group paying damages and publicly apologising in a statement read out in the High Court.
Rebekah also advises businesses, often in business critical situations which might attract press headlines and impact on reputation and brand. She regularly negotiates and/or liaises with Internet Service Providers and website hosts on behalf of clients regarding the removal of defamatory content published on the internet.
