Tessa’s practice covers a range of competition and regulatory matters, including Chapter I and Chapter II competition infringements, merger control, and competition litigation and reviews / appeals, as well as developing competition and dawn raids training and policies.
Tessa regularly advises clients on consumer regulation, including on the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act. She has supported clients on major compliance and regulatory investigations, and has experience in the National Security and Investment Act 2021 and subsidy control.
Prior to joining TLT, Tessa held roles in the Department for Business and Trade related to foreign direct investment and in the Department for Health and Social Care in project and policy delivery. Tessa was seconded to one of the ‘big four’ bank’s legal team, advising on a range of issues. Tessa’s combined public sector and corporate experience brings diversity of thought and perspective to her advice.

- Advised an international facilities management company on drafting contractual clauses to be compliant with competition law.
- Acted on a long-running competition litigation claim between a public sector body and a telecommunications company.
- Advised an airport group on various areas of compliance with competition and consumer law.
- Advised on submission of a merger control briefing paper for a global logistics company.
