Our national employment team operates across our offices in Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast and London, providing cutting edge/strategic advice on a range of complex reputation matters such as equal pay, TUPE, large-scale re-organisations, whistleblowing, restrictive covenants, trade union and industrial relations, with responsive and cost-effective support on "business as usual" issues.

We act for an impressive range of household names and the team has particular sector strengths in advising on a range of reputational matters, as well as providing advice in the financial services/banking, real estate and retail sectors.

We are active in the employment law world, regularly commenting in the press on the impact of legislative change and speaking at significant national events.

We also run our own national "Annual Employment Update" series and regularly provide training to our clients on a range of employment issues.

Experience

  • Advised and supported a national care sector client through an HMRC investigation linked to national minimum wage underpayment and handled the associated employment tribunal claims from workers.
  • Supported a real estate client to investigate allegations of gross negligence against members of their senior management team. We advised the client throughout the disciplinary process and assisted them to deal with the associated press interest.
  • Advising multiple clients to investigate allegations of sexual harassment against senior employees, ensuring that their reputation was protected whilst still maintaining organisational integrity in dealing with the issues raised.
