Enforcement of Planning Control

We advise property owners and occupiers on how best to deal with an enforcement of the planning system. This can relate to alterations or additions to a property or a change in its use, all of which may require planning permission.
We act for clients large or small that might need assistance. We are particularly experienced in dealing with issues for clients in the leisure and banking sectors.
Enforcement can be a long running process. Some notices can be a pre-cursor to enforcement proceedings and need to be considered carefully to avoid prosecution. We are especially used to helping landlords avoid liability from breaches committed by their tenants, and mortgagees and other financial institutions dealing with insolvent property.
Members of the team are qualified in planning and law. We understand the process from every side, which means we can offer sensible and informed advice.
Experience
- Haulage company - Negotiated the withdrawal of an enforcement notice and advised on strategy to discharge the pre-commencement conditions of a stop notice, relating to permission obtained by the client for sand and gravel extraction at a quarry.
