Heritage

We help owners and occupiers with the additional rules and regulations that these properties listed by English Heritage/Cadw are subject to; rules that can restrict the way they are used or altered.
We act for a range of clients; from those who own numerous buildings, many of which may be listed; through to clients intending to redevelop an affected property. We also support clients whose sole purpose may be the preservation of a particular heritage asset.
Applications for listed building consent or ancient monument consent require specialist advice so that they succeed. We work with clients and local authorities to make the best of the situation.
Experience
- Property Investor - Advised on a breach of listed building consent for works undertaken on a grade II listed property in London.
- Barnett Developments - Advised on the client's first project in Northern Ireland, including planning policy issues, impacts on listed buildings and the processes and procedures relating to Belfast City Council's consideration of the application.
